Job Description: Cherokee Preting seeks exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as SIGINT Subject Matter Expert (SME) with advanced SIGINT knowledge.

Intelligence SMEs shall possess SME-level skill-sets in the specific intelligence disciplines with demonstrated experience and results to include knowledge of training requirements, mission requirements, with the ability to communicate accurately and effectively with USSOCOM senior leadership and customers. Subject matter expertise is necessary to assist the USSOCOM staff and subordinate or associated organizations to identify and assist in the development of prudent courses of action (COAs), recommend priorities, train members of the team, and employ technical knowledge for the long-term benefit to USSOCOM operations.

Employees must maintain global readiness and be available to deploy on a no-notice basis to hazardous duty/combat zones. Deployments may be to a theater of operations with permissive, uncertain, or hostile environments while living in austere conditions for extended periods.

Job Responsibilities: SIGINT Subject Matter Expert shall have expert-level targeting skills and firsthand experience targeting networks, individuals within networks, and identifying vulnerabilities for exploitation. Intelligence analysts shall have a deep understanding of the F3EAD targeting cycle as well as the current data, tools, and techniques used for each phase of targeting. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and proficiency using current analytic tools, databases and Intelligence and operational systems is required.

SIGINT Analyst shall have advanced SIGINT knowledge to identify and or confirm individuals, organizations, facilities, locations, trends, or patterns of interest associated with a high value target or network of interest in a collaborative environment. Coordinate SIGINT procedures with internal and external SIGINT activities to ensure the collection, dissemination, and/or precision geo-location activities adhere to guidance and appropriate directives. SIGINT Analysts shall have a high level of proficiency with NSA and other SIGINT analytical databases covering both DNR and DNI related technologies. The analyst must demonstrate advanced knowledge of the most current SIGINT systems, databases and software tools.

Job Requirements: SIGINT Subject Matter Expert (SME) shall possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum ten (10) years analytical experience within DoD or equivalent Government agencies required, with five (5) years at the operational level.
  • Highly proficient in utilizing current intelligence related automation, applications, tools, and databases to support analytical efforts and product development.
  • Possess strong briefing skills and be capable of effectively directing and influencing conduct of SIGINT operations.
  • Strong background and firsthand experience in SIGINT analysis, SIGINT systems, tools and databases, reporting, and collection management.
  • Expert knowledge of SOF and/or CT intelligence experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in utilizing basic computer applications and established SIGINT related databases to support analytical efforts and product development.
  • Current Top Secret clearance and SCI adjudicated.
  • Must possess a valid US passport
  • Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements including a medical, dental, psychological, background, credit, and security screens as deemed necessary to be considered deployable.
  • Must be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary by the contract.
  • The physical demands described below are representative of those that may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or listen.
    • The employee is frequently required to walk; use hand to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
    • The employee is occasionally required to stand and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
    • The employee must successfully complete all medical examinations required by the client, including for any temporary duty or full-time deployment as required.
