Program Overview

The Intelligence Mission Data Center (IMDC) is the lead DIA organization tasked with the implementation of DoD Directive 5250.01 “Management of Intelligence Mission Data (IMD) in DoD Acquisitions.” IMD is DoD intelligence used for programming platform mission systems in development, testing, operations, and sustainment including, but not limited to, the functional areas of Signatures, Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming, Characteristics and Performance data, Order of Battle, and Geospatial Intelligence.

As the Department’s focal point for IMD development, production, and sharing, the IMDC is uniquely positioned to deliver cross-program analysis and assessments of IMD standards, production requirements, gaps, and required costs. The IMDC’s main lines of effort are DIAP IMD Standing Working Group secretariat, Assessments, Production Planning/Metrics, Standardization, and Foreign Engagement. Supported stakeholders include major defense acquisition programs, service sponsors, senior leaders, and the Defense Intelligence Enterprise.

Position Responsibilities

The main deliverable is to facilitate and coordinate the assessment of Lifecycle Mission Data Plans (LMDP).  The LMDP defines specific IMD requirements of Major Weapon System programs and then IMD Producers assess the requirements and respond with IMD availability, gaps and associated production efforts/costs. By providing insight into scope and fidelity of IMD requirements, Cyberspace Solutions enables the Defense Intelligence Enterprise to improve production planning and informs funding decisions for existing intelligence production and gaps while ensuring the Services understand intelligence gaps and associated risk to programs and weapon systems. The Senior All Source Analyst also provides detailed input to the Center’s leadership regarding IMD production, shortfalls, prioritization, cross program analysis, and Program of Analysis alignment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree with 8+ years of intelligence analysis experience;
    • or, specialized training & 10+ years intelligence analysis experience,
    • or, equivalent intelligence/ academic experience;
    • or, credentialed subject matter expert or recognized specialist in relevant field.

Required Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of intelligence production process including scientific and technical intel mission areas.
  • Familiar with foreign military systems and associated equipment (i.e. armor, ground vehicles, anti-aircraft weapons, ground support aviation, fixed wing aircraft, C4I systems, etc.).
  • Experience working at a Service Intelligence Production Center and/or familiar with their mission areas.
  • At least 5 years of experience, skills, or qualifications in one or more of these Intelligence Mission Data functional areas:
    • Characteristics and Performance
    • Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming
    • IMD Signatures

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Familiar with relational databases common in the center including EWIRDB, MEPED, MIDB, NID, SAVANT, FATS, MKB, and/or SPIRIT.
  • Experience researching and analyzing foreign equipment.
  • Experience solving analytic production issues such as requirements management, RFI tracking, and production planning.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal Government oversight.
  • Experience providing thorough and completed products that requiring only minor revisions and/or editing.

Travel: Position requires occasional (less than 10%) travel to support technical exchange meetings, as approved by the Contracting Officer Representative. All travel is CONUS-based, reimbursable within GSA rates, typically 3-4 days, and coordinated well in advance.

Security: DIA requires TS/SCI and CI Poly (within 5 years) prior to Indoc. If candidate does not have a current CI Poly, the agency will notify our COR that candidate may schedule CI Poly (typically in Reston or Charlottesville) and afterwards security approval follows quickly.
